Biblical Prayers
As Christians, prayer should be like breathing—natural, constant, and persistent (Ps 116:12-13, Luke 18:1, Acts 2:47, Acts 6:4, James 5:16). Praying the Scriptures gives us guidance and confidence that our prayers align with God's desires.
May these prayers and resources aid you in your love for God and love for others.
Prayers for Our Churches & Pastors

Pray that our churches grow and mature in Christ (Eph 4:15).

Prayers for Our Families

Pray for your children and the next generation to turn from the deceptive promises of sin and toward the all-satisfying promises of God so that they might be confident to lay down their lives for others to the glory of God (Ps 16:11, Phil 1:21, also see "Big, Bold Prayers for the Next Generation")
-
Pray for Christ’s direction and the Spirit’s power in where and how your family should serve others (Eph 5:15-17, 1 Pet 4:11).
Prayers for Our Community

Pray that our church members would truly love Christ and demonstrate that love in word and deed to their coworkers and community (2 Cor 5:14-15, 1 John 3:18).
-
Pray for and submit to those in authority over us, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence (Rom 13:1, 1 Tim 2:3, 1 Pet 2:13-17).
-
Pray for your neighbors, that they would turn from their sin, honor God, and walk in Christ’s righteousness (Rom 1:18-3:31), and ask God to use you to share the gospel with them (Rom 1:16).
Prayers for the Nations & Global Missions
-
Pray for God to send more labors to carry the gospel into the dark places of the world, as there are over 3 billion souls that have yet to hear the gospel (Matt 9:37-38).
-
Pray for open doors, God’s power, and boldness in proclaiming the gospel and making disciples (Romans 1:16, Matt 28:18-20, Eph 6:19, Col 4:3).
-
Pray for Christlikeness, perseverance, success, and the multiplication of churches in the lives and work of our missionaries (Acts 14).
-
Pray for God to be merciful in saving unreached peoples (Ps 103:8) and for God’s end goal in the world: his glory known and enjoyed among all the nations (Rev 7:9-17).
-
Pray for God to strengthen persecuted believers by his Spirit, that they may experience his love, hope, and faithfulness. Pray for justice and that their persecutors would come to know Christ through the lives of those they are persecuting (Heb 13:3, Acts 4:23-30; 2 Tim 1:8-14).
